Welcome to Scottish Family Trees.
My name is Tom, and I research family trees as a hobby since retiring. I have
researched over 150 family trees and, as it is only a hobby, I charge a very low
fee compared to commercial companies.
With a minimal amount of information, I can research your Scottish ancestry to
1855 or better. I also add all the census information on your ancestors from 1841
to 1901.
I also include recent family history as supplied by the client and progressed
by myself such as siblings, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews etc. – no limit
here, the more information the better.
A typical family tree will almost certainly get back into the 1700s and contain
around 200 related ancestors. There is no cut off point in the research, as I keep
going until the “trail runs dry”.
The research can be carried out discreetly as a surprise, so can make a great
gift for a friend or relative.
The final package contains various pedigree and descendants chats, plus all
census documentation nicely presented in a folder. I endeavour to supply the
following details of each ancestor:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Date of Marriage
- Place of Marriage
- Date of Death
- Place of Death
- Occupation
A fee of £50, payable upon completion, is charged to cover the research costs plus inks, paper and
stationary. Postage would be extra.
